About Daveena
Daveena Limonick was born in Hollywood, California, Daveena D’Angelo , in 1947. Having two extremely well versed artists for parents, it was natural for Daveena to follow many creative paths in her life. She has always enjoyed Sculpting, so when she studiedthe process of Goldsmithing, sheKnew she had found a perfect creative outlet. In 1967, Daveena studied, under the direction ofacclaimedGoldsmith, Zella Marggraf.
Daveena has been a professional landscape designer for 15 years, and for fun she designs &craftsfurniture, hats, costumes and clothing for herself. “I must learn how to make shoes!” she comments with only a little of “only kidding” in her tone.
I have always loved colored stones and when I was just out of college, I worked for a company that sold precious stones. I cultured a true love for colored and unusual stones there. I met connoisseurs of pearls and unusual things there that gave me a very broad base from which to draw on when given the opportunity with clients bored with “the ordinary.” The possibilities are unlimited when you know what the possibilities are. “ I especially love to sit across from someone at my studio, listen to them, watch them, get a sense of who they are before designing something very specifically with them in mind. It thrills me to no end indeed! It is my life’s work and I will always create jewelry.
